Improvements

  • Moved the logic for retrieving and preparing the attribute value from phtml to a dedicated block:
    KowalAddtocartDescriptionBlockProductAddtocartDescription.
  • Changed block classes in product layouts to the new module block (simple/configurable/bundle), in line with Magento best practices.
  • Simplified the addtocart-description.phtml template to the presentation layer.

Attribute Support

  • Improved attribute handling:
    • select (option label rendering),
    • text,
    • textarea.
  • The attribute value is always processed by the CMS filter (FilterProvider->getPageFilter()->filter()), which enables proper rendering of PageBuilder content and CMS directives.

Technical Changes

  • Removed the use of ObjectManager from the frontend template.
  • Display control through configuration has been retained:
    addtocartdescription/settings/enable and addtocartdescription/settings/attribute_code.

Deployment Impact

  • No changes to the database structure.
  • No new crons/queues/indexers.
  • Recommended after deployment: bin/magento cache:flush.
